Procharger brackets

Post  scottke on January 25th 2010, 5:24 am

Does anyone make direct bolt on brackets for the bigger Prochargers to the BBF heads? Mine are SCJ's new style.

Is it true that a BBC bracket will work, all you have to do is re-drill for the differnt bolt hole locations? Is the depth the same?

A band saw and some aluminum tubing would take care of any depth issues.

As a matter of fact I'll chat with the guys from Procharger about it this weekend when I see them at the drag expo and let you know what they say.

Yes, a BB chevy bracket will work with a custom made stand-off adaptor.

I have a D1B Procharger kit for a BB Chevy that I bought with the intention of adapting it to my 512 BBF.

It looks like everything will clear and I can use my mechanical fan as well.

Here are some pics of the BBC kit laid in place with my old worn out truck 460 in my 87 Turbo Coupe:

Now that's what I'm talking about. Just because it's noy offered in a bolt on kit doesn't mean you can't make it work. Turbo's are still king though. They don't make half the stuff on a serious car for specific combo but people still manage to make it work so don'y let it stop you.

I mixed up the shows, they will be at the one in March so I didn't get a chance to talk to them. I will make sure to next month though if they will still be there, sorry.
