drop a plumb line off the front of your crank, trans tail shaft, then center of the pinion

Thanks for all the help I got the motor in today only one problem when I got the motor where I wanted it one header tube is touching the k-member not hard against it just touching will it hurt anything ?

Alright got the header problem fixed tonight. Sorry I got one more question I'm a newb do I use the flexplate shield and the mid plate or just the mid plate?

I'd use just the midplate, its going to be thicker than the factory blockplate anyway. Make sure the converter spacing is ok.

Yeah the converter looks good this is my first time at this and I'm doing it alone so I was worried I needed to use both Thanks I coulnt do it without this site

Glad you was able to get a new plate made, I knew it wouldn't be a big step for a high stepper!

Note to everyone else: I am a fault for his first midplate. I had trimed it to fit my turbo Mustang build, as my headers where facing foward so I never looked at mid plate clearance for regular headers.

ha the plate was no problem after i figured out i could just make it how i wanted it lol

I tried to keep mine to where both ears would bolt at the frame rail area/height. The driver's side is like this, but the pass side is like yours. I'll end up with the midplate bolting to the frame brackets about 3-4" higher than the framerail.
