Got to drive an SV1 equiped car today......

All i have to say is wow.

71 torino
527 ford bigblock
ported kaase scj heads
not supposed to disclose the cam specs but over 750 lift with "alot" of duration Cool
Built AOD(sold on getting one of these for my car too)
3300 stall converter.

the thing idled down at 725 rpms in gear and never stumbled, never hesitated, had good maners going to the gas station too affraid
IDC what the price tag is im getting one.

yea i got my quote too in about that range.
he said he picked up about 45 hp on the chasis dyno.
he also expects to shave about 2 tenths off with the new setup because it doesnt lag or stumble anymore.
his previous carb was a prosystem as well Shocked

Nice. I like the idea of these carbs. If I wasn't going efi I'd try one.

Who did his tranny? What "approximate" times does he run?

he ran in the low low 10's before now this carb may break the 9 barrier he says

he did warn me though that he does drop his AOD every year and a half and freshens the clutches up. What a Face

yea theres updates on the car, he hasnt had alot of time to work out his traction issues since he added the SV1
on his best pass it averaged a tenth faster with spinning through the first 60 ft or so.

He thinks that his peak torque didnt go up alot more at peak maybe 20-30 tq but his area under the curve is much better apparrently Laughing


If i get off in time saturday ill drop in on em and call him for extra details.
