Carl, To be honest, I don't even know what I'm doing with it. Buyer's remorse hasn't set in, but a case of "NOW WHAT?" sure has. I'm definitely NOT parting out the car, but I might change a few things I'm really not crazy about. If I can keep gas in it, maybe I'll just drive it as is.

I should probably finish MY Cougar first..

OK, you are on the right path to interminable automotive A.D.D. Carry on......

So I got all the receipts for the car in the mail.. I stopped adding up when I got to 11K.

The engine looks like a mild build.

D1VE block, L2404 pistons. C9VE heads with the bump removed. From what he said compression was in the mid 9s. Crane 260 cam, Weiand Stealth intake, 3310 Holley... The C6 does indeed have an E4OD gearset, and the car has 2.47:1 rear gears. I was going to open up the engine, but I may well just leave it as is.. I might up the rear gears to 3.25:1 or something along those lines. Should be a low maintenance tire fryer.

That's a clean looking car reminds me of the 78 LTDII i had,i loved that car ran a 13.26 at 100 mph in the 1/4 mile.That one should run good,pretty close to the combo i had put a gear in it a traction lock and a converter and i bet it would be a easy 13 second car.
