I am really trying to decide if I want to pull every bit of wire out of the truck and start re-wiring with a Painless Prostreet wiring harness kit. The kit is on the exspensive side $530 but I an imagine all the other items that will get deleted along with the wiring during the process.

I was just trying to remember who I sold that stuff too. Wish there was something like that for these things!

We have the a/c and the full stock gauge cluster working on my dads 95 with a carbed 460. It has alot of the original wires still with the harness that goes to the engine chopped down to what we need. Tach, a/c compressor, oil pressure and water temp gauges. Speedo works off the rear but it still has an 8.8. I can get a pic once the snow melts off somewhat.

Ok, finally the engine is finished, I can now either take it to the dyno or throw into the engine compartment.

Engine overview:

528cu 385 series Ford, Evans Ported Iron cylinder heads, Performer RPM intake, Cartwright camshaft, Adney Rotating Assembly, engine block machine work by Finishline.

I found a entire front clip off a 95 F150 and went and picked it up today. I'll have to post a picture for kicks & giggles. It's a maroon color but it has the plastic inner fenders, a hood that isn't cut up and a working hood latch!! cheers So I guess I'll remove the old clip before I install the engine.

Since today is my B-day I figured I'd work on the truck some.

Set the engine in the frame rails for the first time.

Headers don't fit and the 90 degree oil filter adapter won't fit without some notching of the frame.

Is the header fitment issue something that a small spacer at the bottom of the motor mount would fix?

The driver side headers will bolt up but the passanger side needs to tuck-in about 2" and up 2". Don't think a spacer would work, it was a shot in the dark that they would fit since they where made to face the opposite direction in a Mustang.

Whew. all is good now! I invited my brother over and we brainstormed. We ended up taking the motor mounts off and swaping sides. Had to redrill one hole on each mount, by doing this it moved the engine back 1-3/4" and we added two washers under each mount. Now the oil pan, headers and oil filter will fit. I'll post pis tomorrow.
