Jim's Little 460 AND 2000 RANGER

To start out it is a 89 d9 short block that I payed $300 with c6 trans it had ,new d3ve pistons.crank turned .10 rods, mains.10 ,c9 rods,with new bearing,in it.A buddy gave me a set of bear dove-c heads got the valves from 69fb off ford460.com, bought solid lift LN cam, lifters,and spring off ebay off ebay kept the springs traded cam and lifters for 750 holley or might say give it away never got the carb from a member on 460 well lesson learned,timing cover from turbo528onlp on 460 after about 2 months,motorsports duel plain intake from Lem,oil pump from DPSCoupe361 on 460,roller rocker arms from a member on 460 can't remember name, comp dp chain billit the my buddy that gave me the heads gave me, holley billit 1 wire dizzy got off ebay,oil pan off ebay,getting some motorsprts valve covers for it,got arp rocker studs ,guide plates,and push rods,comp cam ex274h cam,lifters, and gasket kit from mad dog off ebay.

it is my buddy's Mazda RX 7 557 bbf around 900 hp, with pg trans,486 gears. wt 2340#

some kind or small truck ex cab realy want mid to late 90s ranger or might go with s10 still looking

There was a man around here that tried to put onein a little mistibishi truck and the oil pan was about 3" off the ground and the air cleaner was about 6-7" over the hood

ya they are the same as the d50 dodge i looked at 1 of them but wouldn't even think about it cost to much if i was going to spend that much i would buy a running ranger to put it in but i don't have the $$$$$ to spend right now got to do it as i get the money.bad to be poor man but i have as much fun as the rich man if not more just take alittle longer to get everything Laughing Laughing Laughing

My old man called me today told me may have found me a ranger not far from his house he ask what i wanted to put in one he is one that can talk somebody to just about giving it him i can't shoot the bull like the old man can if i get it i will post some pics of it

no the guy was out of town last weekend daddy gave him my # he is suppose to call me when he gets back I bought valve cover today from fordtec1 on 460 I got a set of tall alum ford racing they look as good as new in the pics back to the ranger it is one of the older ones with ex cab but it has twin I beam front under it and I don't want and will have to change it out with a strut front as long as I can get cheap

Well guys I just bought a ranger 2000 ex cab fairside bed smoke grey ordering a roll cage this week so the 460 has a home now.Now it want have to sit on the stand for to many more months hopefully.debaeting on motor plate or motor mounts one thing i like about the plate is you dont have to worry about the motor mounts with the headers. affraid cheers cheers
