65 Falcon Hard Top Roller - Back up for sale Empty Bump

Post  Rvesterby September 21st 2010, 8:52 pm

I can remember the converted 64/65 Falcons at the strip when they were new - most were 427 4 sppeds - the cars literly jumped each time they were shifted - there was a Red 64 that used to come up from Kansas City to Des Moines and race - it was hard to beat, that was when you used blech during the burnout - The Falcon use to match race the Mopars - back when the AM radio stations promoted the drags all week long to get a big crowds out on sunday - most of it was hype, but you always got a show - Believe Des Moines rock & roll radio station was KIOA or close - seing this car brings back those memories - and you have to admit if you are a senior Ford person the 64 Falcon 2DR HT was a pretty slick car - Free bump for a neat car, good luck selling it

You are correct Ron, KIOA was the real deal back in the day. Not even sure what it's format is these days. That's back when you listened to WLS in Chicago and KAAY in Little Rock for all the latest tunes. Damn, I'm getting old! Sorry for the hijack and good luck on selling a sweet ride.
