598 A head w dyno results
Finally finished up my new 598 last week. Spent Friday afternoon on the dyno getting it broken in and tuned for the most part.
Ok, here we go with some results and build details.
I'm happy with it. Not bragging, but nothing to keep secret either. My goal was 1050 hp and 900 ft lbs of torque using a single cast 4V intake. Made that with some room to spare. I realize I could have made more with a nice tunnel ram intake, but that would have complicated the packaging in the car. This is not a max effort deal. Just a reliable, low maint piece. No Ti valves, no shaft rockers, no crazy valve springs, etc.
The HP flattens out after 6400, but doesn't drop. That tells me there is a airflow bottleneck. I think it's the intake. It's almost box stock. Smoothed up the casting a little about 1" into each runner and cut the clover leaf out of the top as it was an obvious restriction to my Terminator throttle body. On the first freshen up I may send the intake for some Pro porting.
Larger 721K version for if you can't read this one well:

Nice build Dave
Better keep it locked up next weekend, you may get a 534ci engine swapped in over night

Re: 598 A head w dyno results
Got it home today. It had a couple of minor oil leaks on the dyno. All fixed now.

It was an honor to be involved in such a cool project. David has helped a lot with ideas and suggestions to make my little parts even better.
I can't wait to see it flying down the track.
Nice job!
