UH OH Trans 2nd gear gone?????

I was out this weekend to get ready for 6.50 index. As I was doing my last time trial I went to launch off the trans brake and went through 1st then to second and to my surprise...... nothing. Went to third and still ran on through. The trans had gotten hot but for the life of me 2nd gear is nowhere to be found. 1st works great and so does 3rd. I tried to adjust the shifter cable and even played with the transbrake. Even when it was dead cold still nothing. I was told I could be cloged in the valve body, but it still has us stumped on what is the deal here. 
Anyone ever seen or heard of this?

If it is..the wedge that holds the band probably fell off the adjuster..I had the same thing happen years ago..
The adjuster will be in the trans pan..

Intermediate servo or band . Band broke ,streched burned up anchors busted or fell out due to band stretching or out of adjustment. Give me a call !

I had exact same thing happen last weekend and when I pulled the trans pan I found half of the servo apply lever laying in there.
