The weather is unbearable

Post  Mike R on July 19th 2011, 6:47 pm

OMG it's so hot. The temp aint so bad today but the humidity is unbearable. The heat index is 115 with a dew point of 80. I'm a walking puddle wearing shoes, unfortunately it's going to be worse tomorrow.

I don't know, maybe I'm just getting old but I don't remember it being this bad. I have no problem with the heat but this humidity is just kicking my ass. The worst part is the bosses are sitting in the air conditioned office telling us to suck it up and get back to work.

Sounds just like my supervisors. Take breaks, drink lots of water, is what they tell us, but they still expect us to run scratch! F that!!!!! I'd like to see them do it for a few weeks.

A racetrack near me 75/80 Dragway actually shut down for the weekend due to the excessive heat. Probably a liability issue not wanting anyone to suffer a heat stroke.
