Lee ,you were pushing the limits of a 2 bolt block for sure. The oiling system is so much better on the aftermarket blocks too. You'll have peace of mind with the new block. It'll be very interesting to see what your new combo will run in your car? Good luck with it!!

I've got a project car that needs to be finished. '98 Mustang, 25.4 cert, 4 link, strut,etc., all Hairy Glass except for the roof and door jambs. Let me know if your interested, it needs a good home. From what I've seen of your work, you wouldn't have a problem finishing it.

got a little more done today.these push rod holes are a PIA! maybe its a shaft rocker thing,it's fixed now.lol. what size should p/r's be? 7/16 or 1/2?

not much progress,ran into some v/c issues so i'm on hold for now.may need to cut the heads to get compression up more.

i cc'd them and got 95cc's with ti valves.i'm gona take .050 off the heads to get what i can but the chamber size is what it is.it'll still have well over 14.1 so all is well just not how it shoulda worked out to get it that way.138 wrote:Any regrets so far with going to that big of a chamber?

well...........i got the heads ready to go on! rocker stands welded,ready for some pushrods and head gaskets.THANKS to Lem for the cool ring compressor
