Lem...thanks...the parts made it to Georgia

Post  Wheelie58 on August 13th 2011, 7:01 pm

Lem,
The BBF Care Package arrived in good shape here in Georgia yesterday. All of the guys at the shop are sporting wood after seeing and touching Embarassed the new Cometic valve cover gaskets. I hope to get them oily on the dyno...Monday or Tuesday....
Thanks,
Keith

I hear you ......we had to go to the hardware store and buy a screw driver to change the hi-speed air bleeds in the carb. Mad Buying tools to work on these gas carbs is waay too expensive......we need to go to injected methanol where we can adjust stuff with our bare hands.

You must have a better view of what perfect is than what I can see from where I'm setting affraid .
This unit had 9 pulls on it....3 short pulls for breakin and heat to do a hot valve adjustment. It was an even split between timing adjustments and air bleed changes [3 each] . "We" got the last 1.5% gain of HP with small and quick adjustments.....it is not and never was "out of tune".
I will have to admit the engine did not break the dyno....
