Re: Wheelie58's weekend
Well....we dodged the hurricane just fine. In Super Gas (9.90), I felt that I had a decent setup, but the wind was really working on the car in the last half. First round....ran it out the back door and got whipped with a 9.85 breakout. In the 10.0 index class, I lost in the semi final. As usual, the car was very hard to get slowed to 10.0. I retarded the timing a little too far and made it nose over....and lost with a pathetic 10.22. I now know where NOT to go with the 10.0 retard strategy. I found the edge.
Won a couple hundred bucks...never lifted a wrench on the car in the 22 passes that I logged at Charlotte.
It is a very nice facility, so I signed up to go back in a couple of weeks for the national event.
Thanks,
Keith
