The cam is not a nitrous cam but my cam grinder says the car will slow down with only a 250 shot with a nitrous cam. if i could get a cam that would pick me up a tenth on motor with my set up i would buy it .i just dont feel its possible

I just know no matter how much nitrous I threw on my last nitrous motor it would only pick up about 180hp so that is what we jetted it at. Yours just sounded familiar.

big shot plate

Post  10SHOTS on October 24th 2011, 10:32 am

so i bought a big shot plate and put 90 nitrous and 80 fuel jets, should be around a 250 shot, 5 1/4 pound fuel pressure ,pulled 12 degrees of timing and went 5.61 , plugs look like i can ad a degree of timing back in so with a little more tuning i thing i can get into the 50s , back to the track again, 85 fuel and 95 nos jets pulling 13 degrees of timing, went 5.56 . the motor dont come down any on the shifts, need a different converter. i think im going to stop at this point with jets

"10SHOTS",Question?,you said that when you went back to the track you changed jets from 90n 80f and ran 5.61. Then changed to 95f and 85n jets ???,and went a 5.56?,Congrats on a real nice pass! THANKS,MAVMAN.

The new jet map for the big shot plate is much better, look into it. you 95 nos 85 fuel pull the engine timing down to 22 degrees , i run sonoco 116 maximal fuel. #10 ngk plugs . If i could buy a new converter i think a could run in the low 40s
