How big is the cam?

Need to look at your calculations, FT with those heads and typical 0 deck get you in the 13.5:1 + range.

Cam is isky .730 valve lift,274 @ .050 108 lobe center

pistons are .020' down the bore,
chambers were finished at 75cc.
I will have to dig out my book with all the measurements

Cam specs are going to cost you some power. Might consider something custom.

I'm not familiar with the screen in the bottom, is it to control oil splash?

My new oil pump arrived yesterday.
Thanks! B f evans Ford Raceparts.
Wow! there is a hugh differance between the Mellings and the Kaase oil pump

dfree383 ,how much would I gain from a custom grind camshaft.

yes but once you break an oil pump and totally trash the whole engine it seems like not so much then, pay now or pay later

darren I see you have invested lots of cash in this engine, why skimp now and Kaase makes great pump, it is way beefier than any Melling I have a cracked one, I am glad I bought a Kaase...
