One of the most fun vintage Mustangs I have driven was a friends 68 High Country Special replica. It was just a 302 but made a great street car. With 68 having the torque boxes behind the front frame rails and being a coupe it was fairly light and stiff.

i did'nt like the pinion offset of the exploder rearend so i cut the long side tube down to the length of the short side and got another axle.the tube would not come out so i cut the sob off, then got the 3"leftovers out and put the tube back in.good coat of por15 and she's ready to go in.

Cool Project. T5 should be fine with street tires, they are toughter than people give them credit for.

all the paint work was done when i got the car so i dont know.i'd say it was ppg,i know the body has ppg on it.i've been useing some 1.30 a can stuff from the dollar store on parts i've cleaned, semigloss stuff works real good and is tuff too, hell its good as any i've used.the por15 on the rear housing is just bitchen, put on with a brush and looks like glass when its dry. Very Happy i got the alum drive shaft from the exploder too, took 3"outa it too.
