New-B Lakeland Florida

Hello all...I am Jason and I teach Auto Technology at Wesley Chapel high school in Florida. In the past I built Fox body Mustangs and my last was a 9.70 86 with a 460 and A heads with stock suspension and no nitrous. I have always had a soft spot for big blocks and Mustang IIs so my students and I are building exactly that.

Here is what we have as I type this:
429 (unmolested)
DOVE C heads (I really need some sound advice here from someone on this board)
1050 Dominator (the original one with the choke throats)
1977 Fastback/hatchback

Here is my immediate plan:
Get the 429 together with a small roller cam
Get the car to fit the engine with an engine plate
10 point roll bar to stiffen chassis (and provide safety)
Ladder bars, 10" wheels and drag radials
8.8 Rear end from a Ranger (we can talk more about this later...I am crazy but there IS some dummy logic here)
I am going to put a new trans tunnel/firewall in it so I can run a C6 or a glide

Here is my long term goal:
Low 11 second ET's (should easy as pie)
I want it to look like a Vintage/70's era mini pro stock (Sudden Death?)
I want these students to be like: "________ (expletive) yeah"
