Greetings from Mayne Island British Columbia
Hi,my name is Gary O'Bray and I am one of Greg P'S cohorts from the torino cyclone technical forum. My cars include a 1970 ranchero 500 with the 429 scj engine and a four speed with 3.91's out back. Stock except fpa headers and a re curved duraspark. I also have a "j" code 429cjr 71 cyclone gt (now 466) and a base model 71 ranchero originally 351c two barrel now sporting a 466. I have an engine on the stand for the 71 and the details are- forty over four bolt scj block with a 4340 4.3 crank with h beam rods and kieth black dished forged pistons (heavy!) and should yield about 10.25 to one with the dove heads. a motorsport c 460 cam topped off with a set of scotty's big valve ported doves and a set of paul kanes 1.8 miller roller rockers. Intake is a stealth. I am using hooker 2 1/8 headers and am not sure what carb as of yet-probably a 950. the engine will go in my 71 base model ranchero as soon as I get the frame connectors on and some new aftermarket axles. rear end plans are a set of 3.25's or 3.50's with a locker as this will be a street car with the odd trip to the track. any suggestions of a mostly street use converter with more emphasis on street use rather than an axle ripping high stall? brodeur performance is where I will purchase the trans and converter. I am still a ways from actual fire up because I still need the money for the trans, axles, carb etc. I will post pictures when I figure out how to do it. Thanks for having me as a member as I have been a member of the 460 forum from the very early days and have learned more from the true experts here than I could have ever learned on my own. thanks again guys
Gary.

Glad you came over Gary. I sure missed seeing you at Mission. I already have my rain check for next year... on account of not getting even 1 run in
