1978 Mercury Cougar XR7

Post  psquare75 on September 14th 2009, 10:51 pm

I'll make this more detailed, but for now.. I'll post a start, intermediate, and *so far* pic. I finally got paint done mid August, and the roof done two weeks ago. All done by myself with some help from the gf and a friend or two.
On Purchase.. 351w/c4/2.4x gears

After the 523 swap and a bunch of other changes

Now.

cheers

I had one back in the late 80's it came with the 351m the guy I bought it from put a 69 302 in it I drove it for about a year and put a 351c 2bbl in it run like the dickens with 351c I think it was 89 when i gave it to my little sister on her wedding and my ex brother inlaw changed oil and left the filter loose and it dump all the oil out no need to say what happen then. It was light gray with blue top and blue insides man that car had the best ride you could ask for. Good luck on yours.

Thanks. The ride in this one isnt exactly stock, I added polyurethane bushings anywhere I could, Bilstein shocks sourced from a Crown Vic P71, and 17" wheels and tires.
