New guy from Fl

Been lurking for a while; my car has been in hibernation but I've got the bug again and the kids are old enough to take to the track and help out!
I've got a 70 mach 1 that i've owned since 1982. I regret cutting it up but what the hell too late to go back now
Went to the track for the first time last night in about 8 years and watched; did'nt realize how much I missed it!
Car is all homebuilt with 2x3 chassis. Iron head stock bore/stroke w/ stock internals. Has gone best of 10.63 @ nearly 128 mph n.a. with badly mis matched combo back when it had a port o sonic & 850.

The quick 8 at OSW last night had a bump of 9.98!
I probably could have made it with my stock internals and Iron CJ heads!
It was all GM except for two sbf, one turboed and one on juice.

Welcome . I was at the track also last night and if mine were running I would have easily made it in the show. Looking forward to getting back out there. Glad to see there will be another Ford in the game out there , perhaps we could meet next month at OSW for Decembers Quick 8 .

Me & my 16 year old took mine Friday for the 1st time at the track in 7-1/2 yrs; talk about a bundle of nerves LOL!

I'll bet you still had a lot of fun though! Maverick is in transformation status right now, building new bullit hope to be racing it in spring , I'll be at the next quick 8 to watch next month . Pm me your # and will exchange info .
