This post just took me through a gauntlet of emotions. I was all fired up reading your log and eating my lunch. Then I saw those pics of that cut to hell Shelby, my stomach just flipped and now I’m sick as hell!!!

On the other hand looking at those pics made me realize that all the mistakes I have made with my race mustang build is nothing compared to that Shelby being sliced and diced and hauled away like an old scarped out Chebbie!!

But I know we all will be smiling from ear to ear and proud that you are on our site when that bad boy is done but you will be forever known as “The guy who sliced and diced up a Shelby” LOL!

This is not my actual wheel, but it is the same size wheel and tire that I will use---a 16x16 Beadlocked wheel and 33x10.5W tire.

The bars are gonna be nice and tight

I spent the afternoon cutting some unnecessary stuff off the k-member (the motor mounts and the rear a-arm mounts)

Very nice setup. I have looked at lot of build threads and honestly have not seen a 4 link tied in like this. I really like the fact that it is tied into the main hoop and bowed back for driver size or weight movement off the front. Glad you built the car you wanted and I think its pretty cool to cut up a Shelby and make a nice race car. I'll be down your way in early April and would love to check this car out if time and work allows.

Nice car. Not sure I would have cut up a Shelby but hey its your money. Going to make a great race car. Travis Rice where have you been. Is the 62 done yet?
