E heads

E heads

looking into a set
i dont know much about them but i can get them at a good price
still need some work but was wondering will thease work on a A460 block block is a 18 bolt deal
also what is the min bore for them
they need everything rockers valves springs ect
do they make a single 4 intake or can i get some adapters

Jesse if I remember right the E heads are for the A500 block and everything for them is CUSTOM manifolds and all.... if you are on a budget these are not for you at all, even if you get them cheap everything is expensive...

The big problem is the head bolt pattern. You'll either need to plug and redrill the heads or the block, I believe 6 holes need to be relocated. Or you could get a DRCE or A500 Block. If you start with Semi machined ones or raw castings you can put the head bolts where you want them, but that isn't a back yard job and can get pretty expensive.

Other issues arise for lifter offset, oil drain back and proper head gaskets.

Intake manifolds is going to be sheet metal or possibly you may be able to adapt a A460 or C460 manifold. But again your going to be on your own because their is nothing commercialy avaliable.

In all honesty a set of C460 or Profiler A205 is an easier way to get some additional power, though the E460's are quite a head they just aren't friendly to the average joe.

thanxs guys that's what i needed to know
when i decied to up grade look's like C heads or profilers will
be a way better option for me
