F-150 or F-250?
Time for a new truck; going to trade/sell the 2008 F-250 and get a new truck.
Will the new F-150 with EB pull a 32 foot 10,500 lbs trailer SAFELY?
My F-250 will pull the trailer without breathing hard; probably looking at pulling the trailer 6-12 times a year, mostly within 100 miles per trip.
I have read some good stuff about the new 6.7L and the EB so it seems like a "toss up" on which one best meets my needs?
I know some on here have trashed the 6.4L but I have not had any problems with mine; change the oil every 3,000 and use the Ford Centane booster and it has been problem free, keep in mind it only has 32,000 miles on it.
Any recommendations on new one?
Bruce

I would stay with the F250 if I was you on a 32; trailer for the safety reason I know they say the new F150 will pull but you need the extra brake and handling the F250 will have over the F150 for that size of trailer.

Get the 6.7 no question. And while you have had no issues with the 6.4 yet you are doing the right thing by getting rid of it, because it will have issues in its life, serious issues..................and thats a fact.

I agree w/Randy. I will never pull go back to F150 unless I stop pulling trailers.

Bruce, I have one of the new 6.7L in an F350. It is a great package. I wouldn't even consider a 1/2t for pulling anything over 24'. You might do some checking at the dealer, most of the time the 350 is only a few hunderd dollars more than a 250, and that extra capacity is worth it IMHO.

Get the 250 Poppa Bear, I'll break her in for you while you play across the pond. If it can be broken, I can break it!!

A F250 with the 6.2 gas engine would be the other option.

No offense taken....but...for the $7,825 price tag on the 6.7 I can live w/o 14's for a long time.
I had the pleasure to drive Don Bowles' 6.2 Raptor last week, that he has been tinkering with, and the 6.7 don't want any of it.

If I were you I would go with a F-250.
I have an 2011 F150 eb and I know I am at my limit with a 24 ft enclosed trailer.

How does the raptor pull a 32' tag trailer?, and I'd bet that 10k weight Bruce says it is might be more than that lol.

Bruno did not say a thing about pulling....he said burn outs and 1/4 mile I will tell you this...we pulled a 32' triaxle tag to Waco, Texas , Arizona , etc. with a sick azz 460 4V , C6 , 3.54:1 F350 & the 6.2 will run and hide from that thing.
I don't see you removing you cape to get to your billfold for the $7,825
Futher more, relative to burn outs and 1/4 mile.....Rob will have his 6.7 F350 at Bowles' shop in about two weeks and
I'm sure Don would be glad to race him. It'll seperate the internet B.S. from the real world

We use trucks for pulling stuff around here, not racing...which was the point of the thread in the first place.
and the 7k dont bother me, its the other 45k that does............
I'm sure Rob will have no issues sticking a 32' tag behind both trucks and racing them that way either...........
