They killed the power on the 6.2 four years ago. It was going to be a cylinder deactivation engine but some big shot killed those plans and the ECO Boost was born! The new 6.2 is going to make this one look like a 4 banger lol!!


Mr. Bowles was racing the phototype engine years before it was released as the 6.2 for the F-series.........come to the tech deal and i'm sure he will tell you about it. Smile

Well that counts me out of owning one then Shocked or if I do it will be Freakin removed and Shyt canned, I ain't payin $12 bucks a gallon for Piss to put in a truck....

Casual Towing towing under 10k and everyday using the truck around town..... Get the 6.2 Gas Engine, Towing for REAL and using a truck for real work.... Get the Diesel. Diesels need to be worked and used if you don;t they are nothing but trouble.

This is a false statement, the problems we see are in no way related to how one is used, how they are maintained can have some bearing as well as abuse, most of it though is just from poor design to begin with. EPA restrictions also plays a big role.
