NDRL Nostalgia Drag Racing

Anybody here ever attend or participate in one of these events? They have posted a 4 race schedule next year 2 Beech Bend stops, Indy, and Edgewater. They've added a 10.00 index deal I'm considering running next year. Looks like they might be cool events with some wild stuff not typically seen at a bracket race.

Some of the most enjoyable times as a spectator at any drag race I have ever had was mingling among this nostalgia cars and seeing them run.

Might not be as much fun for the younger guys as they can't reminisce

Can't reminisce, because I wasn't there when they were new, but it's still really neat to look at that old iron. They have a deal like that out here once in a great while and to see all of that older stuff is really breath taking.

Cool. I love Nostalgia races. Might have to make it down to Bowling Green. Wow 10.0 is the slowest class. That should be a good show. Note engine containment devices on all cars required!

Yeah, it would be cool to have some Ford guys come and play too. Looks like some pretty serious and cool rides. Diapers look like the only "extra" thing a guy might not already have.

Reply I got on NDRL board about race structure

Tom, we do tag along with the tracks scheduled race. Sometimes there will be another bracket race going and sometimes there will not. The Indy race will move into the tracks scheduled RAGE event which is all heads up index classes too.

Off the top of my head:
May BG event will be qualify on Saturday and elims on Sunday.
July Indy will be one shot on Friday, one to two on Saturday and into elims. The tracks RAGE race is that night.
August @ Edgewater will be a Friday night qualifier, Saturday qualiifier and into elims.
September @ BG will be qualify on Saturday and elims on Sunday.
We will be able to park Friday at all races and the better percentage of us do.

All races are ran on a .400 pro tree.

Entry for all classes is 100.00. Higher than your weekly bracket race but its the norm for Nostalgia events everywhere.

Comp and Gas pay $800,400,200x2
PRO 7.5 pays $1000,500,250x2(or 200.00...i dont remember ).
PRO 7.0 Pays $1500,600,300x2

We usually do a pitch in dinner after the first night. We have fed up to 100 people so its a large meal. ITs a good time with alot of good people.

we have one a year put on by MANDRA here at Mason Dixon Dragway...some how I always seem to miss this event!
