New year, New Build
After some waffling and some ridiculous offers on my car I've decided to keep it, make some upgrades, and try to test the 25.5 cert. I'm also posting this because I generally don't post up details of many of my builds, and since I generally don't do much grudge racing anymore I figure what the hell.
A460 block 4.625 bore
Aluminum EX514 heads 2.40in/1.88ex
4.5 stroke
6.700 Crower rods, would like to run BME aluminums, but I have the Crowers
Diamond custom pistons( will end up a tick over 15/1 cr)
Cam will be a custom deal will post up specs after We finish the heads and get flow #s
Trick Flow Single Dominator intake
Pro Systems Dominator
ATI Damper
All the other supporting stuff, vacuum pump, rockers etc, etc.
I'm also switching to a 1.80 aftermarket case glide since I couldnt seem to find a way to make the C4s last more than 20 passes behind the old motor I can't imagine it will like being bolted to this motor.
We're hoping to make 970-1050hp NA with it, it will also have 2 foggers and a plate just in case.
Rich and I are both tied up on a couple projects right now so it will probly be late February before we get hot and heavy into this build. I will post pics, updates and #s as we go.

Will post up pics when possible. We haven't Cc'd the heads yet. I will post up flow#s and Cc when we get them.EX514 heads are typically 84cc chambers, but like I said we haven't Cc'd these.

Hmm, could be interesting N/A to N/A not sure if we are putting a fogger on mine yet or not. I am trying to get mine down to 3000 without me in it. Rich is gonna be a busy man in February-March!!!

Yep it will be a busy spring(but it seems like they all are anymore). The target weight for my car is going to be 2950 going down the track. It was 3050 with the all iron deal. I'll get pics up as we go. If I was running it NA it would have dual Dominators for sure, but I don't want to put that silly scoop back on my car and weight rules with dual are getting silly nowadays. The glide should help quite a bit also since the C4 was stupid violent leaving, great for pictures, and bird watching, bad for ET. We will probly lose a little NA power with the camshaft we will end up using for spray, but the 3 kits should more than make up for it.bigblok2000ranger wrote:Hmm, could be interesting N/A to N/A not sure if we are putting a fogger on mine yet or not. Re: New year, New Build
I think we will make enough power to propel mine past the 8.50 cage certification once it is all sorted out so not sure it is worth putting a fogger on or not. I don't think I could get mine that lite though, not without a lot of fiberglass. You know where your gonna race? Rich was telling me about GDRA which looks like I might do that as well.
