could this make.my headders Glow.Red.?

Ok i made.a.post.earlier in the week.i got a.489BBC ith 8-71 roots blower 8psi.
Hedders red red when just revingit.to 2000/2500 rpms for for about.30 / 45 sencond
i was told.thos could be timing.or.running lean

but i gpt.something that could be the problem hear me out.

I gpt the might..demon carbs 750 blower carbs with boost ref powervalves.
I didnt have the vaccummline the the poar for the demona.to the bottom of the blower intake for vac. Pock up ...so i think the power valves.are open ...being the are not been pulled.closed correct

Not.the.timing.tryed set.at.8°idle.with.total.of 28°..of.i lock outbthe.dist at 28° at idle.at surges bad.
With.my temp gun pointed.at.the.Headders.at 2500 rpms.temps.are 780°Then gose.off.rhe.scale.at.800°
When i snap.the.throttle.really.fast.it.back fires.oit.the exhast pulled.plugs.look.black?

Put more like 14-16 Idle and 34-36 at 2500 and do you trick with the infra red gun and tell us what the results are
