BIGGER valve for SCJ Heads?

Im using a set of SCJ Kaase heads on a 572, what size valves should I squeeze into these, im gunna have these ported also.Thanks

Simple enough question,,,, but imo the proper procedure would be to find a good head porter who is familiar with porting and flow testing the SCJ heads and then ask him that question and follow his advice.

The intake seats in an SCJ head are just under 2.300" in diameter, (58mm plus the press), so, a cut down 2.300" valve to 2.280" with a thick margin works OK if the engine is not overheated and kept out of detonation. Otherwise a 2.250" is the largest if those things might happen.

thanks Randy, we'll talk soon. I know I need abigger better set of heads for this big cubes but thats what I have for now so I will have to do what I can to these unless I can move them to someone. I just remember seeing someone getting some good flow from these heads just dont remember where i read about it.

Air flow wise - a well ported aluminum SCJ head is about like an "out of the box" P-51 would flow.
