Re: My new 528 combo
I thought I wasn't doing so good taking so long to get the linkage setup but Rich reassured me that sometimes it even takes him a good amount of time get them right. I finally got the linkage arms for the carbs right today then spent about 2 1/2 hours trying to get the linkage from the intake bolts up to the cross bar correct and finally decided it needed a longer bar luckily Rich had some linkages and parts from other setups and found one that was 2 inchs longer got it all baselined from there in about 30 minutes. This engine is and will be a learning experience for me.

Good luck with your build. I also have a 525ci ford motorsports A460 heads. The new TFS intake with a Dominator carb. 14.6:1 compression with a .780 lift cam. The motor is in a 2665lbs 77 Mustang II. The best 1/8 is 5.481@126.26. The best 1/4 is 8.71@153. The best 60ft is 1.22. But consistently 1.24-1.25 60ft

What tranny are you using? Are geared more for the 1/8 or 1/4? Is it consistant? Just curious.

I'm running a glide. It's set up for 1/4 mile. On the 8.71@153 pass the 1/8 was 5.54@123. It's deadly consistent. I won the 2011 Division 2 Bracket final's with that car.

Re: My new 528 combo
I'm definitely interested in this build. I think you will need more compression than 14.1 and the cam will have to be .800+ lift and the duration @.050 will have to be around 300. Keep us posted. I will like to know how it turns out.

Oh I will, I will not post cam specs though at the engine builders request as he considers that stuff propriety info.

A little bling!!! LOL

Trading my 8580 dizzy and 6AL and Blaster II coil to a friend for new Crank Trigger and Crank Trigger Distributor.
Think we have my headbolts from the 523 traded for a set of head studs for my A460's. Block and rotating assembly will probably be headed to machine shop sometime this coming week.

LMAO! I thought they were pretty clean as is, lol
I am constantly tinkering with things and don't think I have ever been able to keep them "clean" for more than an hour or two. Honestly if I ever get the point where I don't have a project to tinker with I create one.

Been doing some research today and it looks like a real possibility to happen, I am gonna attempt to set the world record for quickest N/A all steel Ford Ranger with this build.
