Edelbrock Performer vs. cast intake Empty Edelbrock Performer vs. cast intake

I have a chance to buy an Eldelbrock performer intake. Will I gain anything other that weight by swapping to this intake? I currently have a C8 cast dual plane intake.

More horsepower ... extend the RPM range somewhat higher in the RPM range ... less "off idle" torque to around 2,500 RPM.
