British BBF Lover

Post  Fatty on October 1st 2009, 3:22 pm

Hi there. I am Ian "Fatty" Hook and I race a street-legal 34 Ford with a C&C block/TFS head equipped nitroused 598. Best time to date in street trim (pump fuel, 315 DRs, mufflers, etc) is 7.80 @ 174 with a 1.24 60-foot and 5.01 1/8. The car IS street driven. My crew chief Martin is also on here as Brain@FBRacing. He's called the Brain for a reason - he builds & tunes, I just drive! Very Happy
Cheers
Ian

UK American Iron

Thanks dude. Plent of American iron (and aluminium!) over here. To see the cars we race against check out www.streeteliminator.com
All the cars there are street legal and we complete a 20-25 mile cruise with a gas stop & hot start as part of qualifying for each race meeting. Fail the cruise and you're out. And it's the fact that all our cars are street driven that I love. My car has been driven and raced in the States. Back in '05 we came over to Louisiana for the World Street Race and were made very welcome. Top marks as hosts gents!
Very Happy

Thats probably the coolest tech rule Ive ever heard of. I wish the "street trucks" I mud drag against were actually "streetable."

Welcome

Post  Fatty on October 4th 2009, 4:36 am

Thanks for the great welcome guys. I'm gonna like this site! And Nevs, keep your eye on the Street Eliminator site as the video reports from the final two meetings should be posted soon. We have now had one guy go 7.68 and another 7.70 (both Ch*vy based I'm afraid). But we're now the quickest Ford with our 7.80 and we still have another 250hp of gas to add! Twisted Evil I have high hopes for next season.
Cheers
