I have a solid flat tappet cam that I would like to reuse. With all the lifters in their original locations will I still need to remove the inner valve spring for initial start up? I plan on using Comps break in oil. The cam is a Luniti 41607.

Thanks.

If it is in a different block, then you need to treat everything as if it was a new cam break-in.

Ok. The block is different. My machinist said the same thing. I was just looking for a second opinion, as he is not a ford specialist, such as the folks here.

Thanks.
