C6 cruise o matic

Anyone familiar with thr C6 cruise o matic tranny? Is there any benefit to using one in a performance build? I found a guy with one...its a heavy SOB for sure

Almost be willing to bet its an FMX.

Cast iron case = FMX

Ya its cast iron with an aluminum bellhousing...

I used the FMX for many, many years behind some of my street & strip Cleveland stuff with zero failures due to the trans it's self. But the FMX's small OD input shaft might have a hard time dealing with a 460's bigger torque numbers in a race application.

And unfortunately the FMX's aftermarket support is severely lacking compared to what is available for the C4 & C6.

i realy liked the one i had back in the day.it worked great with the b&m parts i had in it but converters were hard to get and $$. i'd go with a c4/c6 now tho.
