The truck's lookin' good Alan. I have the same air compressor and love it. Plenty of air and it's not too noisy.

In a couple weeks, anyone will be able to order 2-1/4 into 4 headers for their 80's and 90's ford big block trucks. A big thanks to Maddog headers for working with me. I took my rod up to be the prototype..

Alan, just a little warning... That shifter you have installed in your picture is not a good match for the detents of a c6 valve body... I had one transmission that had a short lived life because of that shifter.. I got a turbo action shifter after that mishap.. they come with a dedicated gate plate and shifter arm for the c6... It's expensive but worth every penny... Truck is really starting to look like something... Keep up the good work

Is there any other C6 shifters that work well?

Also Cody, I abandoned the B&M and went with a Hurst pistol grip quarter stick. Hopefully it will work better than the B&M Mega

Truck looks good man. Was your motor in the stock location when you had the headers built?

I certainly hope so! They was sold to me from maddog as stock location headers. If they where based off this truck I'm going to have problems with the steering shaft. I have been told that a 3" body lift will give me some clearance though. I don't like body lifts.

Alan I pull the grill and head lights and grill support out of my 95 F350 to replace the passage side fender. I looked and don't see how to make the grill and support removable like the grill in my Ranger. The way you have to go about pulling the grill, head lights, and support with out adding to it to make it come out as 1 unit. But on good thing about the way yours will be you won't have batteries to pull and hard to get to place to get the nuts off of the corner/blinker lights. The truck is looking good.

Hey Alan,
Is there a date for the maiden voyage??
I'm guessing Bunker Hill will be your test track??
If I'm welcome, I'd like to come help/watch or whatever.

Yes, it is a fuel pump. I am planning to do the initial start on gas, so I have a carb mounted right now. Once the rings are seated I'll install the Killer Ron's terminator injection system.

f250mike wrote:Hey Alan,

You bet. Welcome anytime.

Weighed the truck last night on a set of 4 corner scales and was happy to see the results. My goal was 3000 to 3200. She weighed in at 3050. Once I add the wheelie bars and fuel tank she should be 3150.

Im not sure how high in relation to the pump you plan to mount the fuel tank but the belt pumps like being mounted lower if possible. Just something to remember in case you run into fuel starvation issues. Wink

Thanks, I am concerned about that as well. I spent several hours playing with the alternator and fuel pump mounts and this was all I could come up with. I designed my own fuel cell that will sit up high in front and wrap around the core support so I am hoping this will prevent fuel starving. I got the tank finished up Sunday and hope to get it installed this weekend.

Got a little more done on the rod. This weekend I'll have the anti-roll bar installed and the aluminum tonneau cover done.
