Chuck's 1970 Mustang: The Rebuild...

I like this new direction alot better guys. It'll save alot of time and money!! I can fix the hood and header exits in the fenders and stripe it pretty quick.

Its not a done deal yet.I'm still trying too get Jerry to sell it too me.Come on Jerry lets make a DEAL.

Here are some pictures taken of the car on Friday. The steel firewall, floor pans, driveshaft tunnel, and upper cowl panel have all been welded in. The chassis should have all of the tabs and brackets for everything that is needed already welded on. The transmission tunnel will have a small forward firewall that will be removable with Dzus tabs along with the tunnel and the two sides at the firewall. The rear panels for the 4-link will be removable and already have the Dzus tabs. The electronics will have a panel that will Dzus to the forward triangle of the door bars on the passenger side. To simplify things, the doors will bolt back on using the factory hinges and pillars. The tube inserts and tabs have already been installed for the window net.












The next steps will be to get the body cleaned up, the engine and transmission mounted, the front struts installed, and then the rear end narrowed and setup.

Bill I have the same problem with photbucket ad this site only. If you edit the size to large they will not clip the picture.

By the way it sure looks good.

Since '69 Mustang 'glass front ends have been the aftermarket norm (& most likely what you will have to get), are you guys going to leave a '69 nose as a '69? Or do a little 'glass work to make it look like a '70?

I think Photobucket does have a image size limit. I have tried to upload a big pic there before & their system just won't do it.

I am not sure exactly what they are going to do on the front end. Whether Chuck is still going to try and go fiberglass or go with the stock front end. The steel front fenders can still be mounted to the front of the body and the cowl panel can be mounted to them and then a core support/tree could be made for the bolting the fenders too. I have already made the slide brackets on the front frame, so that it can be done either way. But before doing any of that would require having the doors on the body and also the hood.

As far as the pictures, I have uploaded the pictures to PhotoBucket through their automatic sizing and don't have a problem with the pictures being "cropped" to any other site besides here just like Travis stated.

Travis, I am not sure where the edit to large needs to done at. When 1st uploading the pictures to Photobucket or when I am going to move them to here?

Once you get the pictures uploaded then you can resize for this site. Click on the pic you are going to upload, picture will appear super sized, scroll over the pic and you should see crop, edit, resize etc across the top of the pic, click on resize and then do the large size, should go from like 59% to 95% and then you can post it here. Whole pic will show up then. It has to be something with the the side bar setting here only thing I can figure out.

Try it and let me know if it works for you.

my pc at work doesn't show the hole pics but mine at the house shows the hole pics on here might be how the pc is set up but I am not pc smart so not sure.

Just another note. just go back to photobucket and edit the size. It will automatically resize your pictures on this site, you don't have to repost them.
