I'm 6'2" 230 lb and you barely got in my car and I have plenty of room. Chuck would probably have the same problem getting in yours.

That's why he's Hobb's body guard................ Laughing

Wow did I get completely in your car? I was thinking I couldn't get one foot in all the way! I still think I heard your car sggh when finally got out. You also need a wider seat for your scrawny self.

No, you got in it, but I though Bozzell and me were gonna have to get the jaws of life to get your big azz back out Laughing

That or a cherry picker to pick the car up and shake you out!

Chuck. Have you tried sitting in there without the seat to see if you actually sit lower due to your knees not being pushed up into your chest? It seems like one of those Kirkey layback seats that the circle track guiys use might be a better choice.

That is an idea to try just to see what happens. If sitting directly on the floor does help gain room then some kind of a dragster/roadster seat might be a better way to go. Or you might be able to modify the Kirkey to sit flatter, kinda like the old ancient RCI aluminum seats used to sit.

Chuck is so tall , I don't think there's any way he could stretch his legs out unless he was sitting on top of the rearend housing.Unless you've ever seen him in person ,you have no idea how big he really is affraid

Hey Chuck, how much of the body is going to end up being 'glass & how much factory skin? How much do you guys think it will weigh? I'm guessing maybe 2500 to 2800 lbs depending on how much fiberglass vs OEM steel?

Re: Chuck's 1970 Mustang: The Rebuild...

Post  D. Sea on January 20th 2010, 12:32 pm

Just a quick update. Picked up some back wheels for Chuck's car on the way home from the tech seminar (Thanks Bill for finding them) and we may be making another trip BACK to Indy to look at a "chassis skin" What a Face

Bill says the Chassis will be ready this week and we can pick it up anytime. Chuck was looking into powdercoating the frame and got a reasonable quote so we may do this instead of painting the chassis as was planned (to save money).

More updates soon...
