X2 on the boss 429 Looks like it's in an early NASCAR race car chassis.

I can't tell what the vechicle is, but the pipes reminded me of a dragester. The valve covers look very odd, but Coug may be correct? I also thought they may have grabbed the picture of some other engine by mistake? I have never seen this picture before, and was curious if anyone else had?

I can see what looks to be a wheelwell cutout at the top of the picture, so it may well be. Does it look like a 3x2 Holley setup, also? Like I said, I have never seen this picture, or anything like it, and it caught my eye, just wondering what it is. The Boss only lasted 1 year or less in Nascar, and there may not be that many pictures out there, or I have never run across any?

You can tell it's a NASCAR by the cowl induction which was typical of that time period. Also the double breathers on the valve covers. That more than likely is a 4500 series Holley under that cowl induction. Notice only one stud for the hold down. Never saw a 3x2 intake for a boss 429, I've seen 2x4 but who knows. Actually after looking closer it might be some road racing chassis because it doesn't have the big torque box intake that a Nascar engine would have it seems to have a single or dual plane intake.
