So I was wanting to know how many people on here that have street/strip builds do the electric fans to both engine and tranny cooling, or is this over kill for the c6 tranny I was thinking with electric fuel pump and electric water pump then having the 4000cfm engine cooling puller fan should I just go ahead and do electric tranny 1100 cfm fan?????

The link to the fan I was looking at with summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mio-mmoc-f/overview/

A lot of this depends on what you have and what you are trying to do with it. I have a '71 Mustang, 588" BBF that made right at 1000 at the crank. I do Street driving, NMRA True Street events and Hot Rod Drag Week. The trans is a Lentech AOD, Edge 9" converter that flash stalls at 5800 off the foot brake. Upper 9's at 140+ at 4230# going down the track. For a cooler I use an Earl's plate style 13"x10" with -8 lines. The only time I really need the fan is for Small field True Street events where we have the three laps in 30 minutes. The fan is a Hayden that matches the cooler in terms of size, $85 from Summit. It hangs off the side 50% in front of the radiator. Before the fan I'd see 230 after three hot laps, after 180. Even in 100 plus temps at Drag Week 2012 the trans temp as measured in the pan only got to 200.
