Here is a copy and paste of whats posted in the general post.


Well, We had a blast as usual, It's always a good time with that group of guys and gals. They are the best.

First, the cast heads and an extra battery added 104 lbs to the car over the previous weight with me in the car.

It ran a 5.88 @ 117 1/8th mile and 9.28 @ 142 and change 1/4 mile. It just dosen't pull in the upper rpm like the Streets did . The 60 foot times went up to 1.31's from 1.26's It's a lose of torque issue i'm sure from the bigger runner size.

Mph is down also 124 before and now 117 1/8 147 before 142 now 1/4 mile. Could get more with tuning , but I don't think there is much more left .

Not bad for almost 40 year old iron. Here chevy chevy chevy,,,,,,,,,,,, lol

I just deleted my engine build on the old site, be it right or wrong, it's just not home to me anymore. I also put a post in my friends area or what ever you call it , that I am here and any one wanting to pm me will have to do it here . I left Nicks web addy on there.

I lknow your trying to get an answer to your fuel question. This is my build, but it's not one for you to compare to. This engine is 15:1 compression. pistons are .0075 out of the hole positive with a .041 Ford 441 gasket. I realise this is a no no from what is usually posted, and I will advise you not to try this. .034 quench is to tight for a engine of this size and piston clearance.

It has 250 lb of cranking compression and I ran it on 112. The chambers ar polished as well as the piston tops. There are no thin or sharp edges in the chamber.

If you build a 545-557 with a flat top 72-74 cc heads 0 deck with a cam in the 275-280 @ .050 intake lobe on a 109-111 seperation you should be able to run 112. And can probably run a 200 shot of no2 if the tune is right. Myself I would probably go to 114 on the nitrous.
