Another (kind of) new guy -
First off, thanks Nick for the reminder to get my intro done.
Hi guys, the name's Rick, I'd been on the other site since late '07. I came over here about the time of the 'migration'. I don't
post a whole bunch but I sure like to follow what's goin' on with you guys. I've twisted wrenches for a livin' since '83 and I'd
been out of the rod scene for 12 years or so. You guys brought me back up to speed on what's new, improved and what works
in the real world these days. Some helpful folks here and collectively, one hell of a source of knowledge. I've always been a
Ford guy and there aint a lot NOT to like about the 460's.
Anyway, a little about my ride. Any of you that were around Norwalk Raceway 5 or 6 years ago and back might remember
the thing, it was the "Nickles and Dimes" altered. It had a small Chev in it then. It made the trip out west here when a friend
won it on e-bay. He was gonna go back brand X but he didn't fit in it, so I wound up with it and saved it from that.
Here's the shape I got it in -
First things first, will a 460 fit in there? . . . Yep.
I'll have to dig through a mountain of CDs to find some decent build pics, but it was all pretty basic stuff. I ran it with a cleaned
up 460 from one of my pickups in '07. Just went out and played a little. Don't mind my unsightly trailer, it's only about four miles to
the track.
Then came the '07 Christmas present from the Wife.

Freshened up another .030 460 I had to what I'd call a mild street build and put 'er on there over the winter of '07/'08. That
and a little paint in the spring and we're to this point -

And that's how it remains 'till now. I only got about 6 or 7 run in passes and played with the tune a tad in '08. Felt OK, though
some stuff I want to change. This year was as bad as it could get time wise. It never came off the stands. A few too many irons
in the fire. I'm hopin' to get some time with it this winter and get back out there this spring.
It's an older ex-funny chassis and pretty much all it has goin' for it is light weight and a power adder. Other than that it's junk box
stuff but it's a neat toy for no more than I have in it. A piece here, a piece there, it'll get better.
Anyway, I'll quit rattlin' here, you guys have a good day -

Rick get that thing out and get to work on it and give us some times on it.
I know at this time of year farming is going strong and no time to work on it.
Oh and we need a pic of it from the side doing a burn out
