Agreed.  When I'm wrenching and things aren't going well... tools flying and all... I try not to yell at the almighty. I instead cuss out the propeller heads that though making it like that or putting it there was a great idea. Evil or Very Mad

Do you need my resume or should I just show up Monday morning?

Seriously.... an engineering requirement should be at prototype level...  disassemble the expected failure components.  Take out the shit the average mechanic is going to have to deal with 3 or 4 times in the life of the vehicle.  When its 5 hours to remove all the crap to get out 2 bolts and a 3 dollar part.  Put the damn part somewhere else.

Engineers only see the simple things they don't understand having to work on stuff....all they know is it's not them having to fight the damn problems

Engineers aren't the problem, they only build what the accountants and executives will allow. You want to blame something.... blame business for the short sited profit now screw the future attitude.
