We headed back home.

Apparently, as I found out later, all this guy does is buy race cars from out of state and tries to sell them turn key first, or he might part them out.
I did not keep his phone number, but I kinda remember where his house is.

Talking with this guy, he sounds like a car salesman. very pushy.... certainly not interested.

BTW, it doesn't need to be an exotic, parts eating sinkhole. A reliable race car will get you to the track more often for less money.
