Been away from the site for a while. Been messing with a bunch of turbo small blocks lately but looks like I'll be back behind a big block soon. Worked out a trade today with 8Liter for some stuff. He needs a small block for a little driver car he's building and I wanted to get back to some real power. It'll be a while before its all said and done due to the distance between us now but hopefully I'll get it all done, sorted and still make some passes with the big block this year.

Thanks. There's going to be a few small parts I'm going to need to complete the swap so I'll be looking through the classifieds on the regular. I'd like to gather everything needed before we actually swap parts so I can get mine back together relatively quickly after that's done. Biggest thing I will need will be a hood now. I really liked the look of a factory hood on a car in the 500hp range. No way I'll be getting this one under a stock hood for sure.

I'd love to but the wife isn't workin so Im working a second job right now part time to make up some.money and I have all my family coming in July to SC to visit. Does the site / group still do the big block only race day ?

DOVE headed 545, Victor intake, 1050 carb with a NOS plate beneath it. Planning on selling my small block C4 stuff and building a Turbo 400 to go behind the big block. Going to run it like this a while until I get it sorted out, then try to find a set of nicer heads to take some weight off the front of the car and make a little more power. This setup went 10.30's NA (with aluminum SCJ's) so I figure I can squeeze a 10.60 or so out of it with the DOVE heads n/a. Then.... what ever I can with the plate kit is just that much better.
