Tornados in Kansas

Just had one touch down a few mile north of here..... Was not a pleasant moment!

No reports of damage or any one hurt

that's like saying sunshine in AZ>...

I was at Wichita. First week on station, and F2, down the runway, over the F4 pad, and wipe out high tension wires off to SE of base.

That was a warm up....

an F5, removed about 2/3 the base.......... right overhead the weather station. Missed most the barracks by 1/8 mile... base housing didn't fare so well.


TX, OK, KS, 100-1 tornadoes over any other state.

Got a small root cellar.... I'd like to do one of those small prefab deals, but money is a little tight right now.

Guess it did cause some damage but no body was killed.
