Hey guys just got my engine off the dyno it made 940 horsepower at 7200 RPM and made just shy of 800 foot pounds.
Its an A460 block 4.5 bore 4.3 stroke with a kaase solid roller and ported P51 heads. Callies Oliver and Diamond rotating assembly. Ported mafia intake with a Dale Cubic worked ultra dominator. 14.5.1 compression cam biased for heavy nitrous. Got two induction solutions foggers just in case.

I know you were looking for more N/A power, but I'm sure Kaase spec'd you a juice cam so that could contribute to a lower number N/A. Put a N/A cam in it and spin it a bit higher and you'll see some numbers. Twisted Evil

Very nice build though. Some pics would be cool.

Well I got the peak Rpm right. Cool It should spray good to a point, until you run out of quench.

Yeah im giving up around 40 horsepower with the cam but im gonna spray a lot so it will make up for it on the bottle. There is another 10 or so in a good Jomar or HVH carb spacer i need more plenium volume.

Lem Evans i give you many thank yous for your advice and customer service. I know you sell lots of stuff but that block crank and rods all cam from you great price and the personal customer service is second to none. Your a class act more people in this game should strive to treat people the way you do. This is not a suger coat message im a poor hillbilly took me 18 months to build this thing so i have dealt with some big names that treat a little guy like dirt on a shoe. Kaases whole crew treated me like i was a pro stock customer even when i was getting valve covers great service from a great group. Steve Johnson is also above all else when it comes to nitrous systems not just the kit its his personal touch with the guys and girls running his stuff. He really wants you to win and will take the time to help you get your on to out run that turbo car. Charlie Evans has gave me more tips and hints on this site than my engine builder super great guy that just wants to help out guys like me that dont know nothing. This site treats each other really well im a member on yellowbullet and those guys just want to tell you how stupid you are or why yours is junk not a freindly group at all. This was my first BBF i was clueless it looked like a alien compared to my BBC but with help from the guys mentioned above a dedicated nitrous motor made 940hp at 547 cubes cast intake single carb no drama no fancy trick stuff. So thanks again guys be a while yet before a timeslip because overtime at the factory is how i gotta pay for my chassis mods.

I think most of us here are poor racers to an extent, I sold my complete 563 p51 headed nirrous bullet to help fund the new build and still have a long ways to go.

I also have to thank Lem Evans and Philip Oakley for their services.

Awesome build chris. If you don't mind me asking, who did the porting on your p51's and what were the flow numbers?

His name is Chris also he is the cylinder head guy at John Kaase Racing Engines. You get a good price on the porting if you have it done when you order the heads. The lead time is 6 to 8 weeks with porting job. At the time i did not ask flow numbers because John was also designing the cam. However they were flowed before assembly the intake went 447 at .815 lift the exhaust went 301 at .800 lift. The exhaust had billet adapter plates to allow a big block chevy header flange to let me put a larger primary pipe on the headers lots of exhaust volume due to heavy nitrous use. The adapter plate after the cnc machine fit great picked up 20 cfm over just the exhaust port alone. If you need it i can tell you who has the program on the cnc machine for The Fab Shop adapters to the P51 head. If i did it again i would use Charlie Evans adapters much much better fit out of the box. Im a die hard believer in those plates now even on a all motor race engine or a mild street engine. But i would for sure use Charlies plates no need for a cnc machine with them.

wow.. that's good flow. would love to see the lower lift numbers. funny you mention the exhaust port adapters. i am just finishing machining a set for my motor. do the plates match the port of the head or do they taper to a round BBC shape?
