Ford Race - Old People Need Their Rest

Post  Bsherry on January 21st 2016, 6:16 am

So where is everybody staying for the race at US60 in June?

Some of us aren't spring chickens anymore and need our rest between race days.

Web sites directed me to hotels in Owensboro but you have to deal with all those crazy drivers in them parts Very Happy

There is only one motel in Hardinsburg that I know of.
If you do not have any luck there, then the closest area with lodging from the track would be northwest in Tell City, IN.
The next closest after that would be in the northeast direction in Brandenburg, KY.

And then there is Owensboro which is west of the track.

We are staying in Lewisport Ky. Which is about 30 minutes away. Right across from Tell City.

There will be some chairs in the KFM area that are approved for overnight sleeping.

There is no running water in the pits and no electricity but, you CAN camp there if you really mean CAMP...?

Yup, if I can get the time off from work.

Looks like we will be staying up in Lem's neck of the woods.

Hope all of you folks on the east coast are safe this weekend.

I'm going to stay in the trailer this year. I am going to build a simple shower for it and I'll be all good.
