The ford 9" has a head bearing on the face of the pinion to combat that issue.

Also, Currie has reverse cut gear sets for their 9" for front applications.

Does the 70 have a similar bearing on the face of the pinion to a 9"?

no it doesn't ,as you probably know but do they have reverse cut gears lower than 5.38?

thanks! I bought it wrecked on the frontend. I sold off the driveline and bought new metal for the front.

That's really cool! Could you post some pics of how the body is held together?
