ive got a 2012 Shelby w 25k miles on it. bone stock. as far as engine condition I would say damn near perfect. I want to take the rotating assy out of a frpp crate motor that I had bought for a lightning project and put it in the aluminum condor block..its a forged rod/crank deal in a cast iron block. mahle pistons, rings.manley rods cobrajet crank.my question is about the plasma wire transfer coating and ring seal. with the block having a pretty easy life im sure the cyls are like new no taper or out of round ect. can I just use a deglaze tool on the cylinders to break the glaze. I don't want to remove any material just a slight deglaze for the new rings. anybody ever deal with the pwta liners before. I asked ford hotline and basically its a throw away block and don't hone it...?

IF, as you say, the bores are not worn at all, just install that rotating assembly with new rings and don't de-glaze anything. That block is not meant for those bores to change the surface finish.

Whether what you wish to do will work or not ... do it so we'll all know.
