Well I thought they all welded to the floor pan. I guess I would like to see both or either one.

This is through the floor. Basically you "find" the rear subframe and shove the frame connector into it (turquoise piece in pic) in the rear. Then you cut the floor open above the front subframe and lay the connector into it (red piece in pic). Only problem is the front and rear subframes ar eoffset on the Fox chassis. You can either make the connectors straight like I did and use a piece of 2x3 to connect them (yellow piece in pic), OR you can cut wedges out of the connector to offset it. The yellow piece also welds to the rocker and allows the hoop to sit on it if you need the hoop that far back. The green and purple pieces ar eplate that was welded in to cover some gaps and add strength.

If you dig around over at www.corral.net you'll find a ton of pics of how different guys have done them.

Under the floor is what it says. The connector is welded to the front and rear subframe for only about 6" total front and rear. the connector hangs lower than the floor of the car too.

Outside of the question but.. I believe the 2000-2004 Mustang convertable came with Factory bolt on ones.. We have one at the shop for parts just not exactly sure what year it is? I've seen the sub's on it!

Kind of hard to see.. but I used Wolfcraft Sub's on my car..
