Newer oil pump on an older engine.

I have a 1970 429 that I would like to put a Meling M-84D oil pump on. Any suggestions for the correct pickup to use on it?
I have a front sump pan that will go into a 75 ford f250 truck.

There is no Ford Motor Company pick-up ... get that pick-up from CANTON.
Although that photo looks like a Cobra Jet oil pan and that pump and pick-up combination is still available.

Ok - Called Canton and got the 15-763 pickup. Should fit on a std front sump pan.

I got one of those Canton 15-763 pickups , they are specifically for the rear type pump to a front sump so should do you well.
In my case i needed a 15-761 for a Kaase pump to front sump which unfortunately I don't think they make any more but i found one on eBay
The 15-763 will go in my next motor

Kaase offers his pumps in both configurations ... the Cobra Jet style and the rear facing pick-up style.

I already had the Kaase pump for the CJ style pickup so was lucky to track down the right pickup . Next time I'll get the other one for the rear sump and use this pickup
